STEP 4: CAPE FEAR HOUSING LAND TRUST’S APPLICATION PROCESS
PRE-APPLICATION
Currently, to purchase a home from Cape Fear Housing Land Trust your total household income (adjusted for family size) cannot exceed 80% of the Area Median Income for the county you live in. Cape Fear Housing Land Trust serves Brunswick, New Hanover, and Pender counties. Household income includes income from all adults in the household (whether related or not) and covers wages, government benefits, child support, etc. Cape Fear Housing Land Trust will be happy to walk you through the application process.
If your household income qualifies and if you are ready to take the first step towards homeownership, please fill out the pre-application (see link and chart to the right) for the county you live in and return it to:

NEXT STEPS
After receipt of your pre-application, the Land Trust will review it and determine if you are a good fit for our homeownership program. Following that review, the Land Trust will contact you to discuss your status in our program. If it is determined that you do qualify for our program, we will discuss the next steps in the application process.
